The department, alumni, and friends have created several funds to benefit students research and travel. There are also University Level funds that have been created to support Geology Students and Department programs. The list list below comes from the SLU Report of Appreciation with links to information on funds for which the alumni have information and may be more actively involved.  Donations can be made to any of these funds.  Some are endowed funds, some are paydown funds. This is noted where known.  An endowed fund does not count in alumni giving participation numbers, whereas donations to the general fund and non-endowed funds do.  Consider donating to both types of funds as those alumni giving rates are often used in grants.
